Artwork

Please read the information below before sending us your artwork...

SHAPE/CUT VINYL
- Please only send in vector files (.ai .eps .pdf) as we cannot use bitmaps (.tif .jpg .psd) for router or cut vinyl files.
- Ensure all text is converted to curves/paths, or send in the font file along with your artwork.
- All .ai or .eps files must be Adobe illustrator version 6 or below compatible.

DIGITAL PRINTS
- Vector files work best (.ai .eps .pdf).
- We can use .tif .jpg .psd files.
- Please be sure that your bitmap images are at least 300dpi and 1:1 scale, although for larger images (e.g 8�x4�) 150dpi will be sufficient.
- We prefer CMYK references, Pantone colours will be printed using the CMYK equivalent. RGB colours, when printed, will be different compared to on-screen colours.
- For vector files (.ai .eps .pdf) please ensure all text is converted to curves/paths. If you have used a font on your artwork that is not converted to curves and we don't have it, the font will automatically be changed by our drawing program! (We use CorelDRAW X3 and Adobe Illustrator 10)

FONTS
We have a library of over 250,000 fonts, far too many to go through with each client. If you have a font name, the chances are we've got it, otherwise you can visit www.dafont.com to view a large range of free and commercial fonts.

Vector vs Raster

What are Vector Images?
Vector images use mathematical equations to define each component of an image. This allows vector images to retain their high-quality at any size. When possible, use vector graphics created in a desktop publishing program.

What are Raster Images?
A raster image is composed of a collection of tiny dots called pixels. When these pixels are small, and placed close together, they fool the eye into forming a single image. Raster images work well when subtle gradations of color are necessary. Because they contain a fixed number of pixels, a major disadvantage of raster images is that their quality suffers when they are enlarged or otherwise tansformed. They are also large in file size.

CMYK vs RGB

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) are the colors used in the printing process, whereas RGB (Red, Green and Blue) are the colours used by screen displays such as your monitor. Please note that JPEG files are almost always in RGB.

Your document should be created in CMYK mode so that the colors that you see on the screen most closely match the final printed product. If you create your document in RGB, the colors in your printed product may vary slightly. Many of the bright values produced by your monitor cannot be reproduced in print.

Resolution

What is resolution?
Resolution refers to the number of dots per inch (dpi), or the amount of detail the image has. Most documents prepared for upload should be 300 dpi at 100% of the final print size. Higher resolution means a more detailed image, and also larger file and longer upload time.
